Alias: The Sentinel and Guide
From: The TV series “ The Sentinel”
Relationship status: Still together.
Where are they now: Ellison works as a cop and Sandburg is his partner though he is a consultant and not a cop. In the last episode Sandburg decided to become a cop and become Jim's partner.
Status: Ellison is a sentinel which means that he has heightened senses. He can hear, see, smell etc things that normal people cannot. Sandburg is a professor at the university in anthropology. Snadburg went to University when he was 16 because of his abnormal high intelligence. He has several degrees; among others one in Psychology. Sandbrug has traveled a lot in the jungle and speaks many Native languages; he also speaks Russian and other languages close to it. Sandburg is currently working on his Ph.D. on sentinels and that is how he and Ellison first met. In the last episode of this show Sandburg finished his Ph. D but didn`t send it out. By mistake a news station got rumour of the story and Jimīs abilities. To protect Jim and his privacy Sandburg went on TV and claimed his Ph. D was all a lie. He got fired from the University. After that he decided to become a cop and Jim`s partner.
| Past: Ellison worked as Black Ops and was among other things sent to Peru. This is were he developed his sentinel senses. A native came to him in a vision and bestrode these gifts on him. Returning to the US Ellison didn’t know how to handle these new powers. Sandburg found him and taught him how to handle his powers, how to “turn them off” so to speak so lights didn’t blind him and a car driving by didn’t hurt his ears. Sandburg wanted to study Ellisonīs sentinel powers and so he moved in with Ellison. Sandburg takes care of Jim when he is ill, have trouble with his sentinel skills, cooks for him and so on. Sandburg is very open minded and knows a lot about almost any culture. Sandburg is open towards the supernatural ( like when Jim saw a ghost) while Jim is not. Jim is a man of action while Sandburg is a man of words and books. When on dangerous missions Jim always protects Sandburg and worries endlessly for his safety and often tries to get him to stay in the car. Officially these two aren’t together but the series is filled with hints about it from Jim’s protectiveness, the fact that they live together, that Jim always talks about Blair when he isn’t there, Sandburg`s worrying for Jim, that they always go everywhere together to the fact that they often touch. This couple is one of my favourites. They are so cute together and completes each other like no other I have ever seen.
Powers: Jim has heightened senses. In visions he see himself as a black panther who guides him on his way. Jim is probably the last sentinel. Sandburg has no superpowers but is very intelligent and can find a solution or explanation for almost anything.
Is most like:
Our fav. boys from "Pearl Habour". They love each other and one looks out for and protects the other. Jim and Blair are like night and day yet one seems uncomplete without the other.
Love status: True love from the start. Jim would die for Blair as Blair would do anything for Jim. No matter if one sees these two as a couple or just very, very good friends there is no doubt that they mean the world to each other.
Love Factor: True love. Totally!
Quote: “ Stay behind me!” – Jim to Blair as someone shoots at them.
“ Stay in the car. You’ll be safe here” – Jim to Blair when he is to enter the house of the bad guy.
” Jim, what do you think of my image?” – Blair
” Cut your hair and run for presidency. I`ll vote for you” – Jim
” Sandburg, no. Come on breathe. Come on. Don’t do this” – Jim as he tries to relive Blair
” He is dead. It is over,” – doctor
” NO! Come on. Don’t do this. Don’t leave me” – Jim as he continues to try and relive Blair. Finally he successes.
” These are all my stuff. Wait a minute….Are you throwing me out?!” – Blair
” I….I need space….” – Jim ( Blair moved back in few weeks later when the crisis was over)
“ I does not deserve this” – Blair as Jim wants him to be a cop.
“ Chief, you are the best partner, cop and friend I have ever had” – Jim
“ All I did was wrong. I can’t do anything right” – Blair after the accidental revelation
of Jim’s identity.
“ Don’t underestimate yourself. It does not become you.” - Jim
